Brian F. Dolan

Mr. Dolan was born in Wilmington, Delaware in 1958. He graduated from Alexis I. DuPont High School in 1976. After graduating from college Mr. Dolan was commissioned an Ensign and served on active duty in the United States Navy from 1981-1986. Following law school he was employed as an associate attorney with Griffin & Hackett P.A. as a general practitioner. In 1997 he moved to the law firm of Stumpf, Vickers & Sandy P.A. where he now concentrates his practice on personal injury law.


Education

He attended the University of Delaware from 1976-1980 and graduated with a degree in history. Following graduation he attended Naval Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island and was commissioned an Ensign in November 1981. From 1987-1989 he returned to the University of Delaware for graduate studies where he served as an instructor and teaching assistant. He graduated with a Masters Degree in International Relations in 1989. Following graduation he enrolled at the Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. During law school studies he received honors as a member of the appellate Moot Court Team. After graduation from law school Mr. Dolan participated in both the Delaware and Pennsylvania bar examinations and subsequently gained admission to the bars of both jurisdictions. During the Spring of 2000 he graduated from the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island.

Member

Professional legal memberships include the Delaware Trial Lawyers Associations, American Association of Justice, Delaware and American Bar Associations and the Terry-Carey Inn of Court. During 2000 he served as a member of the Delaware State Bar Executive Committee and in 2001 Mr. Dolan was made a director of Stumpf, Vickers & Sandy. He has served on the Board of Governors of The Delaware Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Dolan has been an active member of various civic associations including the Milton Lions Club, Milton Theatre and Lewes-Rehoboth Meal on Wheels. Other associations include the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Board of Accountancy, and the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce.
